I've never understood the love for Kefka. He's an evil clown. He giggles while doing bad things. Not exactly the height of characterisation. But to each their own and all that.

I'm not entering (I already own the game) but I felt like weighing in on the villain discussion.

A recent pick for me: Jim Moriarty from the BBC's 'Sherlock'. The man is simultaneously a criminal mastermind, a chessmaster, an ADHD child, and a near-MPD nutjob. The final episode (to date), 'The Reichenbach Fall', really shows him at his best. You have to watch the rest of the episodes first though. :p

I was going to go for Jareth "The Goblin King" from Labyrinth since he's awesome, but then thinking about it, he's not really a villain as he's actually in love with Sarah and only does what he thinks she wants (funny how I never realized that before now).
So instead I will go with Clarence Boddicker from Robocop. He's all kinds of bad*ss!

Video Game - No one has mentioned Sephiroth? That dude was twisted, he gets my vote. Kefka is a very close 2nd.

Comic Book - The Green Goblin. He killed Spidey's girl. Nuff Said!

Movie - Vader, without him that franchise wouldn't have made it to where it is today.

Television - Ben Linus from Lost (well until the last couple of seasons at least)
